Big week ahead for the reserves while the first team entertain the champions

This week is a pivotal week in the reserves promotion push, Lee Tombs boys will entertain rivals Earsham at The Rec on Wednesday night at 7.30pm followed by a home fixture against Wymondham Reserves this Saturday at The Rec at 2.15PM. This season has been a fantastic effort by the reserve boys and i wanted to take a moment to share with you where things have improved after what has been a tough couple of years for the reserves.

When Lee took over, he took over a side that was around the bottom 4 in the table after the departure of Lee Beales who did a fantastic job in keeping the lads together, There has been the main stays of the team such as Mason Heasley, Lewis Hayden and Ryan London who have been with the side through thick and thin whilst the introduction of the older heads such as Steven Tubby and player manager Lee Tombs as well becoming a main stay in the team. The balance of younger players with the likes of Ed Tyas and Alfie Mark have been yet another fresh introduction to the squad and other young players that have come in to take the step into adult football. The re-signing of Jack Bettison from Bungay also boosted the reserves chances and it has been proven after the strikers goals have contributed to the teams league position. Bradley Hunt has also come in and scored 5 in 5 since signing for the club and has been an important addition to the side.

Ben Evans has come in as well and showed versatility playing many different positions and proving again to be a very important part of the squad. What ever happens this season Lee and his squad can look back at this season with great pride and can defiantly look to go into next season which ever division that may be in and really know there is progression no matter what.

Be sure to get yourself down The Rec tomorrow night for a 19.30pm kick off to support the lads and then be at The Rec again on Saturday for a 2.15pm Kick Off.
