Club Statement: Departing Players

HTFC ADMIN3 Jun - 09:14

Some departures to update you on for the upcoming season.

Harleston Town can confirm that four players will be leaving the club this summer. We would like to take a moment to thank each of them for their contributions and commitment during their time with us.

Matt Cook
Matt joined the club in 2020 and went on to make an impressive 141 appearances, scoring 1 goal. A vital part of our promotion campaign in 2022, Matt has captained the side for the past two seasons and led by example both on and off the pitch. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Matt for his service and leadership, and we wish him all the best in the future.

Elliot Pride:
Elliot signed in 2022 and quickly established himself as a key figure between the sticks, making 90 appearances for the club. Known for his reliability and leadership, Elliot has been a fantastic presence both on and off the pitch. We thank Elliot for everything he’s given to the club and wish him continued success in his next chapter.

George Barber:
George departs Harleston to join his hometown club, Lowestoft Town, as he steps up to Step 4 football. Since joining from Kirkley & Pakefield in the Thurlow Nunn Premier Division, George made 65 appearances and scored 5 goals. He was named Players’ Player of the Season in his debut campaign, underlining the impact he made. We wish George every success with Lowestoft.

Jake Anema:
Jake was brought to the club in 2018 by former boss Adam Gusterson and has been a true servant to the team. Making 103 appearances, primarily as a centre back, Jake played a key role in our 2021/22 promotion to the Thurlow Nunn Premier Division. We are grateful for Jake’s dedication over the years and wish him all the best moving forward.
