Harleston Town are delighted to announce the return of George Barber to the club from Lowestoft Town.
George originally signed for Town in 2023 and quickly became an important figure both on and off the pitch during his two seasons at the club. In that time, “Barbs” made 65 appearances, scoring 5 goals, while also picking up the prestigious Players’ Player of the Year award for his outstanding contributions and commitment.
Last season, George departed to join his hometown club Lowestoft Town, but everyone at Harleston Town is thrilled to welcome him back into the fold ahead of the new campaign.
Chairman Adam Mullin expressed his delight at George’s return:
“We’re absolutely delighted to welcome George back to Harleston Town. From the moment he arrived in 2023, he made a massive impact around the club both as a player and as a person. His professionalism, attitude and commitment were outstanding, and he quickly became a hugely respected member of the squad.
Manager Adam Gusterson also shared his excitement:
“George is a fantastic addition for us and someone who already knows exactly what this club is about. He gave everything during his previous spell here and his quality, experience and character make him a huge asset to the squad. The lads know what he brings, the supporters know what he brings, and we’re all delighted to have Barbs back at the club.”
Everyone at Harleston Town would like to welcome George back and wish him every success for the season ahead.
