Introducing Danny Crow - Town's New Manager

HTFC Admin1 Jun 2022 - 08:45

Danny joins Town in their highest ever position, starting the season at Step 5 of the footballing pyramid.

On 14th May 2022, Harleston Town Football Club were excited to announce former Norwich City and Cambridge United player, Danny Crow, as new first team manager.

Town had been on the look out for a new boss since Nicky Howell announced his intention to step down, after guiding the team to glory in the Thurlow Nunn League First Division North play-off final at the end of April.

After dropping out of the professional game the 36-year-old turned out for a number of non-league clubs, including Lowestoft Town, AFC Sudbury, Mildenhall Town and Norwich United.

He has now taken his first step into management, with Town having recently been confirmed as members of the Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division next season.

Danny said; "I'm absolutely delighted. After speaking with the chairman over the past couple of weeks, it's an exciting opportunity for myself, especially coming to a club that has been on the up for a number of years.

"The players are used to winning, how well they've all done over the past couple of years but we go into the new season as underdogs. Probably one of the first times the team have been considered that, even though I feel our players are more than comfortable of playing in this league - it's an exciting opportunity.

"You can see how much it meant to Nicky and the team to go up, and the team wanted to play for him. He called me about the job and I have to thank him for that. He still wants to be apart of the club, he's part of the furniture.

"I've been impressed with the lads mentality, there are a lot of winners in that group. I want to take that mentality into the new season."
