Joe Manning to depart Harleston Town

HTFC ADMIN

Signed in 2020 Joe was a huge part of the clubs rise.

Harleston Town can confirm that Joe Manning has left the football club.

Joe has been a huge part of the club’s rise since joining in 2020, making an incredible 186 appearances and scoring 13 goals. Over the last two seasons, Joe proudly wore the captain’s armband and led by example, both on and off the pitch.

Joe is the definition of a true clubman. Someone who always put his teammates, the people around him and, most importantly, Harleston Town Football Club first. His commitment, leadership and character have been a huge part of what makes this group so special.

Joe also had a short spell managing the side alongside Adam Mullin and Duane Smith, adding another chapter to what has been a fantastic contribution to the football club.

Joe said:

“I’ve loved my time at Harleston and want to thank all the players, managers and coaches, along with the volunteers, for all of their support at the club.

I have some great memories that I’ll take with me, including a couple of promotions, being named as captain and taking the team for a short period with Ads and Duane.

The club is in such a strong position and I look forward to seeing this continue from afar. Cheers.”

From everyone at Harleston Town, thank you, Joe.

Thank you for the commitment, the leadership, the memories, the laughs, the hard work and everything you have given to this football club over the years.

We would also like to say a huge and heartfelt thank you to Joe’s mum and dad.

Their support for Joe and Harleston Town has been incredible. In fact, they even gave up their Norwich City season tickets so they could be there to support Joe and the club, travelling home and away and standing behind the team throughout Joe’s time with us.

That kind of commitment says everything about the support they have given Joe, and we have been incredibly lucky to have them as part of the Harleston Town family.

Joe leaves with the respect and gratitude of everyone at Harleston Town, and we wish him nothing but the very best for whatever comes next.
