Harleston Town meet Downham Town in Thurlow Nunn Division One North Play-Off Final
Harleston Town are well aware they will have to keep going until the final whistle during Saturday's promotion play-off final at home against Downham Town (3pm).
Nicky Howell’s men won 1-0 at Downham earlier in the season, but in March’s reverse fixture they were pegged back late on and had to settle for a 2-2 draw.
Howell is eager to avoid history repeating itself. “They’re a well organised side and they’re probably the best team we have come across in terms of shape,” said the Harleston boss.
“They don’t concede many goals and are tough to breakdown – a bit like we are.
“In that 2-2 game we conceded a couple of sloppy goals when maybe we thought the game was won – you can’t afford to do that.
“Those two goals might have ended up costing us the league so in that sense perhaps we feel we owe them a little bit.
