Shane Cox joined Harleston Town FC in 2025, arriving from Sheringham where he had spent over nine seasons as a key figure in their squad. Manager Matt Halliday had long been eager to bring his former captain from Sheringham to Town, having won the Thurlow Nunn North Division together in 2022.

Coxy is a commanding and intelligent defender, bringing experience, leadership, and a calm presence to the back line. Widely regarded as a tough opponent, he combines physicality with excellent reading of the game, making him difficult to beat and a reliable organiser of the defence.

Since arriving at Town, Coxy has added solidity and composure to the defensive unit. His professionalism, leadership, and understanding of the game make him a respected figure both on and off the pitch, and a key part of the club’s plans for the future.
